Assalamualaikum my brothers and sisters in Islam who may Allah guard and protect. I praise Allah for there is no God but Him.

Oh Allah, you have bestowed upon us a great test for our beloved sister, Mardhiah Afiqah Kasim, over the loss of a loved one. 

Oh Allah, by virtue of our brotherhood and sisterhood in faith, our hearts are one and the same. "Muslims are but a single entity." What one of us feels, is what all of us feel. If our sister is in anguish, then we too are in distress. If she is afflicted with pain, then we too are in agony.

Oh Allah, in light of this, we ask that You grant our sister strength, patience and perseverance in facing this trial and tribulation. We invoke You to relieve the burden on her chest and plant the seed of peace and tranquility into her turbulent heart. We beseech You oh Allah, that You place her father amongst the people of righteousness.

Oh Allah, You have promised to us that "with every difficulty there is relief". You have promised to us that "on no soul do You place a test greater than it can endure". We supplicate to You, knowing that Your promise is true, and so we hold on to Your Word.

May the peace and blessings of Allah be upon Muhammad, who was sent as a mercy to all of humanity, upon his family, companions and on all those who hold fast to the Shariah until the Day of Judgement.

May the peace and blessings of Allah be upon us when we travel with a proper intention and a noble purpose, and when we return home with a sound endeavor and to a dedicated cause.

May the peace and blessings of Allah be upon us as we serve Islam with the finest fruits of science and the best of knowledge.

Oh Allah, strengthen the bonds of kinship between us, unite us on the True Path and grant us victory.
